Does facial dermatitis heal naturally?

Facial dermatitis is a limited non-infectious inflammatory skin disease caused by a combination of internal and external factors, with destruction of the normal facial skin barrier as the etiological basis. Under normal circumstances, facial skin is thinner and more tender than other parts of the skin, and its defense against various external physical and chemical stimuli is mainly based on the skin barrier, including the protective lipid film layer on the skin surface and the “brick wall structure” of the stratum corneum, of which the “brick wall” refers mainly to the facial epidermal cells. The “brick wall” mainly refers to the epidermal cells of the face, while the intercellular matrix such as lipids is the “mud” that binds the “bricks” to form the “brick wall structure”. Improper cleansing and care of the face can lead to excessive damage to the protective layer of lipid film and the “brick wall structure”, resulting in excessive loss of moisture and a decrease in skin water saturation, which can trigger facial dermatitis; when this happens, improper cleansing habits can be improved and moderate moisturizing care can be given to remove the trigger, relieve symptoms and promote healing. It is important to note that if the facial skin barrier is damaged for a long time and transepidermal water loss continues to increase for a long time, a series of more serious facial skin inflammation dominated by allergic reactions can develop, which requires a combination of systematic anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic treatment to promote inflammation subsidence. In conjunction with moderate cleansing, the use of emollient creams, reduce the stimulation of physical and chemical factors and other slowly repair the skin barrier function, can make facial dermatitis gradually healed.
