The hardness of the wound may be caused by infection, hematoma or scar proliferation.

3. Scar hyperplasia: scar tissue is usually formed during the wound healing process, and the hyperplasia of the scar tissue is hard to the touch, so the wound will feel hard, and with the passage of time, the scar will be gradually transformed, and the hard lumps will gradually become softer, until they disappear.
