How to treat squamous cell carcinoma of the lung

Squamous cell carcinoma of the lung can be staged as early, middle and late stage, and the treatment methods for squamous cell carcinoma of the lung need to be judged according to the stage of the disease, generally there are surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. 1. Early stage squamous cell carcinoma of lung: it can be treated by surgery, and if the surgery is more thorough, it can have more ideal treatment effect. 2. Intermediate stage squamous cell carcinoma of lung: the tumor is already large, but there is no metastasis to other organs, so the tumor may need to be shrunk by radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and then surgical treatment will be carried out. 3. Advanced lung cancer squamous cell carcinoma: the tumor is large and there are many lymph nodes metastasis or pleural fluid (fluid in the chest cavity), blood spread to other organs, including brain metastasis, bone metastasis, liver metastasis, etc. In this case, surgery and radiotherapy may be needed to shrink the tumor. The therapeutic effect of surgery and radiotherapy in this case is small, and it mainly relies on chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy, such as gemcitabine, cisplatin, paclitaxel, carboplatin, erlotinib, PD-1 monoclonal antibody, and so on. Cancer patients should maintain an optimistic mindset, establish confidence in treatment, and carry out regular treatment under the guidance of doctors.
