Cough, chest tightness, and no fever may not necessarily be novel pneumonia, but may also be caused by cough variant asthma, or cardiac insufficiency. Patients with novel pneumonia can also present with cough, chest tightness, and no fever. Clinically, in order to distinguish whether it is novel pneumonia, patients need to actively seek medical attention and improve relevant tests such as routine blood tests, lung CT, and nucleic acid testing for new coronavirus. If the patient shows a decrease in white blood cells, interstitial changes mainly in the peripheral zone on lung CT, and multiple positive tests for nucleic acid of the new coronavirus, the clinical diagnosis of new pneumonia can be confirmed and the patient should be given isolation treatment in a specialized hospital. If the patient has normal results as described above, other tests need to be further refined to clarify the diagnosis.
