For malignant thyroid nodules, surgery is required if the indications for surgery are met. For malignant thyroid nodules that have met the indications for surgery and excluded contraindications to surgery, aggressive surgical treatment should be adopted as much as possible. Surgical treatment is one of the most important means of treating thyroid cancer, so as to avoid delaying the treatment until lymph node or distant metastasis occurs, and the prognosis will be relatively poor. Usually surgical methods include total thyroidectomy, thyroid lobectomy and so on. After surgery, the patient’s pathologic examination results, combined with the patient’s physical condition, will determine whether the patient should be treated with radionuclide, TSH suppression and external radiation. Therefore, patients diagnosed with malignant thyroid nodules should try to take surgical treatment and undergo surgical resection to achieve radical treatment.
