The side effects and complications of minimally invasive thyroid ablation are low. The surgery can protect the normal thyroid tissue from damage, but intraoperative and postoperative side effects, such as bleeding, nerve as well as vascular damage, febrile reaction, and pain, can be caused, and the chance of occurrence is low and can be treated symptomatically. For example, postoperative pain medication can be used appropriately to relieve pain and discomfort; arterial pressure can be given for 30 minutes to two hours to avoid bleeding; minor febrile reactions do not require special treatment and can disappear automatically in 2-3 days; nerve and vascular injuries are serious complications, but they can generally be avoided by standardized surgical operation and accurate isolation fluid injection. Patients recover quickly after surgery, and can generally resume normal work in 1-2 days.
