Frankincense Effects and Side Effects

Frankincense has the efficacy of activating blood circulation and relieving pain (relieving pain by removing blood stasis), subduing swelling and muscle growth (eliminating lumps and promoting muscle regeneration), with side effects such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, etc. It is recommended that the patient follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the use of medication. Frankincense is derived from the gum resin of frankincense tree, which can be used as medicine. Milk flavor is hard to taste, and it is irritating to the gastrointestinal tract, and side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, itching and red rash may occur after taking it. Therefore, it is recommended that patients take it under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners to standardize the use of the medicine, and pregnant women should not use it.
