Is it okay to take Gui Fu Di Huang Wan and Gui Shao Di Huang Wan at the same time?

It is not recommended to take Gui Fu Di Huang Wan with Gui Shao Di Huang Wan because they have more of the same medication, and taking them together may result in an overdose of the same medication. Gui Fu Di Huang Wan: It consists of cinnamon, Radix et Rhizoma Polygoni Multiflori (prepared), Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum (prepared), Mudan Pi, Rhizoma Coptidis, Poria, and Zedoaria. It is used for impotence and coldness of the waist and knees caused by deficiency of kidney yang (lack of yang qi in the kidneys), dysuria (unsmooth urination) or regurgitation, phlegm (pathological product formed by impaired metabolism of water and fluid) and wheezing and coughing. Not recommended for pregnant women. Gui Shao Di Huang Wan: composed of Angelica sinensis, liquor white peony, ripened di Huang, liquor cornelian cherry, peony dandanpi, Chinese yam, Poria, and Zedoaria. It is used for dizziness and vertigo caused by deficiency of liver and kidney, deficiency of yin and blood, tinnitus and dryness of throat, afternoon hot flashes (a burst of fever), soreness and pain in the waist and legs, and heel pain.
