Fracture of the neck of the femur specialist examination

When patients with femoral neck fracture undergo orthopedic clinical examination, it can be found that the affected side of the lower limb has a shortening, external rotation deformity, and after putting the two lower limbs together, it can be seen that the affected side of the lower limb is shifted upward compared with the healthy side of the lower limb of the inner ankle, which proves that there is a shortening of the affected side of the lower limb, and that the angle of external rotation is usually at 45-60 degrees. In a few patients, there is partial swelling or subcutaneous ecchymosis in the affected hip, obvious pressure pain in the hip joint and at the midpoint of the groin, and positive axial percussion pain in the lower limbs. Because of the pain, the hip joint activities in all directions are obviously limited. Some femoral neck fracture occurred insertion or internal fracture, the fracture end is relatively stable, early hip activities may not produce obvious pain, and even some patients can walk, but after a few days the hip pain aggravated, and gradually appeared after the activities of the pain is more pronounced, and even can’t walk completely.
