General small specimens of pathology report time for three working days, large specimens for seven working days, does not mean that the later the pathology report the better. The speed of the pathology report is mainly related to the size of the specimen, the degree of difficulty, testing programs. 1. Specimen size: if the tissue is large, such as total hysterectomy, intestinal cancer resection and other whole-organ specimens, more tissues are taken, and the number of preparations is large, the report time is relatively late. 2. Degree of difficulty: when the submitted specimen is difficult to diagnose and further immunohistochemical staining and other items are needed to further clarify the nature of the lesion, the reporting time will be postponed. If the report result is that no malignant tumor cells are found, it suggests that it is benign. 3. Test items: If the test item is intraoperative rapid freezing examination, the pathology report can be made within 30 minutes. When immunohistochemical staining, special staining, genetic testing and other items are required, the pathology report time is about 2 weeks. Pathology results can not be based on the length of time to judge the test, the specific content of the pathology report shall prevail.
