Is a positive gynecological bv serious

It is not serious to have a positive BV test in your gynecology department, so don’t worry too much. Bacterial vaginitis is the most common type of vaginitis and the treatment effect is ideal and can be cured with standard treatment. Most of the bacterial vaginitis infections in women are caused by low resistance, lack of personal hygiene, sexual intercourse or bathing during menstruation. When the results of the leucorrhoea test are positive for BV, it is accompanied by increased vaginal discharge, yellow pus-like leucorrhoea with a distinct fishy smell and mild vulvar itching. After the diagnosis of bacterial vaginitis is confirmed by routine examination, it is recommended to use local metronidazole suppositories together with oral cephalosporins, quinolones and tinidazole for treatment.
