PDA, when referring to the disease medically, stands for Patent Ductus Arteriosus. Arterial ductus arteriosus (patent-ductus-arteriosus, PDA), refers to the arterial duct that can not close on its own, is a relatively common congenital cardiovascular malformation, accounting for 10% to 21% of congenital heart disease, the incidence of low-birth-weight infants is higher, and the incidence of female patients is significantly higher than that of male patients. Arterial ductus arteriosus can have no obvious clinical symptoms, or it can present with clinical manifestations such as cough, shortness of breath, slow growth and development, and even respiratory failure. Color Doppler ultrasound is a critical test at this stage for the diagnosis of arterial ductus arteriosus, as well as for preoperative and intraoperative evaluation. When the diagnosis of arterial ductus arteriosus is confirmed, timely consultation should be made and targeted treatment should be actively carried out under the guidance of the doctor, so as to avoid delaying the course of the disease and producing adverse consequences.
