Effects of Qiu Hui Point

Qiu Hui point has the effects of dredging the liver and relieving bile (dredging the qi of the liver and gallbladder), reducing swelling and relieving pain (eliminating swelling and pain), and energizing the meridians and collaterals. Qiu Hui is located on the back of the foot, below the anterior aspect of the ankle, on the lateral aspect of the tendon of the extensor digitorum longus, in the depression between the heel joints. It is effective in relieving liver and gallbladder, subduing swelling and pain, and activating channels and collaterals. The main treatment for neck pain, migraine, eye disease, red pain; cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, chest and ribs (chest and ribs) distension and pain, intercostal neuralgia, stroke hemiplegia. Clinically, Qiu Hui acupoint is often used for the treatment of biliary colic by acupuncture, and for the treatment of acute ankle sprains by acupuncture plus bloodletting with three-pronged needles; and for the treatment of ankle soft-tissue injuries by acupuncture plus auricular acupoint pressure.
