For the treatment of malignant obstruction of pregnancy (early pregnancy with severe nausea and vomiting, dizziness and anorexia, or even vomiting after eating), the scriptures include Dry Ginger, Ginseng and Half-summer Pill, while other scriptures for malignant obstruction of pregnancy include Xiangsha and Six Gentlemen’s Zi Tang, Jiamai and Warm Gallbladder Tang, and Green Bamboo and Root Soup. Dried Ginger, Ginseng and Half-summer Pill is from “The Essentials of the Golden Chamber”, which is used for treating nausea and vomiting caused by pregnancy. Dried ginger stops coldness, ginseng replenishes the deficiency, and ginger and half-summer treats phlegm. The adverse effects as well as contraindications of Half-summer, Dried Ginger and Ginseng Pill are not known. In addition, Chinese herbal formulas for treating malignant obstruction of pregnancy include Xiangsha Liu Jun Zi Tang, Jia Wei Wen Gao Tang, and Qing Zhu Ru Tang. Among them, Xiangsha Liu Jun Zi Tang has the effect of lowering the rebelliousness and stopping vomiting (stopping the upward flow of stomach qi, stopping vomiting), which is used to treat gastric deficiency type of dyspareunia; Jia Wei Wen Gallbladder Tang is used to treat the liver-heat type of dyspareunia; and Qing Zh Zh Zhu Tang is used to treat phlegm-stagnation type of dyspareunia. If there is a need for medication, it should be used under the guidance of a doctor and should not be used blindly by oneself to avoid adverse consequences.
