How Exfoliative Keratolysis is Treated

Exfoliative keratolysis is a dermatologic condition of superficial exfoliation of the palmoplantar stratum corneum of unknown cause. The treatment is mainly pharmacologic, including topical medications, oral medications, and intramuscular medications. 1. Topical drugs: you can apply tar preparations, such as coal tar gel, and you can also use stratum corneum softening ointment, such as urea ointment, vitamin E ointment, you can apply petroleum jelly to moisturize the skin, salicylic acid peeling and so on. 2. Oral medication: If the patient’s lesions are heavy and vitamin deficient, vitamin A and vitamin E can also be taken orally to relieve the symptoms. 3.
