2. Pathologic factors
(1) Seborrheic dermatitis: If the patient has seborrheic dermatitis in the ear, it may lead to large flakes of skin, which is caused by lack of calcium and vitamins.
(2) Eczema of the external auditory canal: patients may have thickening of the skin, dry, flaky epidermis and other manifestations.
