Left chest pain on pressure, the possible causes are closed rib fracture, chest wall soft tissue injury, pulmonary herpes, costochondritis, etc.
1. Closed rib fracture: it is generally due to the direct effect of violence on the ribs, so that the rib fracture occurs at the place of force, the fracture is generally less displaced, and there will be localized pain, limitation of limb activities on the affected side, and the pain will be aggravated when pressed.
2. Chest wall soft tissue injury: trauma often causes chest wall soft tissue such as skin, muscle damage, manifested as localized swelling, pain and discomfort, there will be damaged areas such as the left chest pain on pressure.
3. Lung blisters: lung blisters refer to the pressure rise in the alveolar cavity due to various reasons, the alveolar walls rupture and merge with each other, forming air-containing cystic cavities with a diameter of more than 1cm in the lung tissues. If the volume of pulmonary herpes is large, it will directly compress the normal lung tissue, chest tightness, shortness of breath discomfort, the left chest can be manifested as the left chest pressure pain.
4. Costal chondritis: mainly due to various reasons, such as chronic strain, trauma, endocrine and other factors, resulting in inflammatory reaction at the junction of the costal cartilage and sternum, the anterior chest wall appears to be obvious pain and swelling symptoms, which can be manifested as left chest pain on pressure.
