Sperm abnormality testing is an important component of semen examination and an important indicator for assessing male fertility function. The previous standard for normal sperm morphology was greater than 30%. The latest fifth edition of the World Health Organization’s standards on semen quality stipulates that the strict standard for sperm morphology testing is that the normal morphology sperm ratio needs to be greater than 4%, a strict standard that is derived from the test conclusion after rigorous sperm staining. It can be considered that a sperm normal morphology ratio greater than or equal to 4% is normal, and as long as all other indicators of semen are normal, there is no problem with fertility.
