Colposcopes color up fast, good or bad

In general, it is good to color the colposcope quickly. Clinical colposcopy, generally in the cervix will be iodine test, according to the cervix after the iodine coating whether the coloring to initially determine the cervical tissue with or without pathological changes. Because normal cervical tissue contains rich glycogen, when encountered with iodine, it will make iodine coloring on the cervix; while pathological cervical tissue contains less glycogen or no glycogen, so that iodine can not be normal coloring on the top of the cervix, or with a great difference from the original color, showing bright yellow. Therefore, if the iodine test is performed colposcopically and if the cervix stains quickly and appears dark brown, it generally indicates that the cervical tissue is normal and is in good condition. If the iodine test cervix does not color, be sure to follow the clinician’s instructions for further examination, if necessary, cervical biopsy, do pathological examination, clear the nature of cervical lesions.
