The relationship between the lung and the large intestine in Chinese medicine theory is that of an external and internal relationship. In traditional Chinese medicine, there is a relationship between the internal organs and the external organs. Lung belongs to the five organs, for the inner; the large intestine belongs to the six bowels, for the surface. Hand Taiyin lung meridian for the yin meridian, for the inner, it belongs to the lung and complex colon; hand Yangming colon meridian for the yang meridian, for the table, it belongs to the large intestine and complex lung. The two constitute the relationship between the lungs and the large intestine through the meridians. Lung and large intestine as each other, in physiological function and pathology have a relatively close relationship. The purging of lung qi helps the conduction function of the large intestine; normal conduction function of the large intestine helps the purging of lung qi. If the large intestine is solid heat, the abdominal gas is not accessible, then it can affect the lung qi purging function, thus producing chest tightness, coughing and wheezing symptoms. If the lung qi does not descend, the fluid can not go down the large intestine, there can be dry and secret stools; lung qi is weak, qi weak to promote the powerless, it can be seen in the stools hard and astringent difficult to go down, known as “qi constipation”. When the lung qi deficiency can not be fixed when the turbid and clear mixed and down, you can see the symptoms of loose stools. If you feel unwell, it is recommended that you go to a regular hospital in time and receive standardized treatment from a TCM doctor.
