Although the causes of gastric cancer have not been fully identified, a lot of information shows that it is closely related to environmental factors, dietary habits, precancerous lesions and genetic factors. The following poor living habits are closely related to the occurrence of gastric cancer. Duan Shaobin, Department of Surgery, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine
(1) Eat less or no pickles. Pickles contain a large amount of nitrite and secondary amines, which can synthesize nitrosamines under the action of suitable acidity or bacteria in the stomach, and these compounds are very strong carcinogenic substances. So food should be fresh, and advocate refrigerator refrigeration.
(2) Do not eat or eat less smoked and fried food. Smoked fish and bacon contain a large amount of carcinogenic substances such as 3-4 benzopyrene and cyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Fried, baked, burnt food and reused high-temperature cooking oil also contain such carcinogenic substances, and should be consumed sparingly.
(3) Do not eat moldy food. Moldy food is often encountered in daily life, mold contamination caused by mold, mold produces certain toxins are very strong carcinogens, while some foods in the role of mold can also produce a large number of nitrites and secondary amines, into the body under certain conditions, the stomach can synthesize nitrosamines and cause cancer.
(4) Do not smoke and drink less alcohol. Smoking has a certain relationship with stomach cancer. Smoke contains many carcinogenic or carcinogenic substances such as benzo(a)pyrene, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and dibenzocarbazole, which is one of the causes of esophageal cancer and stomach cancer. Although alcohol itself is not a carcinogenic substance, strong alcohol can stimulate the gastric mucosa, damage the mucosal tissue and promote the absorption of carcinogenic substances, and it is more harmful if drinking alcohol and smoking at the same time. Because alcohol can enhance the permeability of cell membranes, thus strengthening the absorption of carcinogenic substances in smoke.
(5) To develop good eating habits. If the diet is not regular and quantitative, overeating, eating too fast and too hot, it is a damaging stimulus to the stomach and has a certain relationship with the occurrence of stomach cancer. Meanwhile, high salt intake and good sulking during meals are also related to gastric cancer.
(6) Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. Eat more food containing vitamin A, B and E and strengthen protein intake appropriately to protect gastric mucosa.
(7) Protect the hygiene of water for consumption. Because contaminated water sources contain many kinds of cancer-causing metal ions, make sure to use regular tap water and try to use well water in rural areas.
(8) Actively treat precancerous lesions. Atrophic gastritis is more closely related to gastric cancer and is a precancerous lesion, so if you have atrophic gastritis, you should pay more attention to your diet and have regular gastroscopy. Therefore, gastric ulcer should be treated actively, and gastroscopy should be checked after 1-2 courses of regular treatment to see if the ulcer is healed. If the gastric ulcer is not healed by active medical treatment, it should be removed surgically, especially for people over 50 years old, the surgery should be active. Carcinoma of gastric polyadenomatous polyps is more common than single polyps. Polyps with diameter over 2 cm show a tendency of malignant transformation and should be removed promptly. Pernicious anemia is also related to gastric cancer and should be treated promptly. Gastroscopy is the most effective way to detect early gastric cancer, and the prognosis of early gastric cancer is very good, and many patients with early gastric cancer treated by us have a survival period of more than 10 years.
Foods that can prevent stomach cancer
Garlic and onion
Garlic is a recognized anti-cancer food and has obvious anti-cancer effects. Epidemiological surveys show that people who consume raw garlic have a very low incidence of stomach cancer because garlic significantly reduces the nitrite content in the stomach and reduces the possibility of synthesizing amines nitrite, thus playing an anti-cancer effect. Onion can reduce the content of nitrite in the stomach, onion also contains a substance of oak peel, as a natural anti-cancer substances. Studies show that people who eat onions regularly, the incidence of stomach cancer is significantly lower than those who eat less or do not eat onions.
Mushrooms
These foods include mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, etc. and fungus. Many of these mushrooms contain anti-cancer substances and have anti-cancer effects.
Tomatoes
Tomatoes contain lycopene and carotene, both of which are antioxidants, especially lycopene, which can neutralize free radicals in the body and is beneficial in fighting stomach and digestive cancers, as well as preventing breast and prostate cancers.
Cauliflower
Cauliflower contains more trace elements of molybdenum, which can block the synthesis of carcinogenic amines nitrite and can play an anti-cancer and anti-cancer role. Cauliflower also contains an enzyme called small sulfide that can stimulate cell activity, which can stop the formation of cancer cells. Eating cauliflower is useful for preventing esophageal cancer and stomach cancer.
