If a routine white belt test is normal, it will show a cleanliness of up to and including second degree and is negative for Candida, negative for Trichomonas, and negative for BV, which is a normal white belt report card. If the cleanliness is above the third degree, it indicates inflammation of the vagina or positive for Candida, Trichomonas or BV, which are all abnormal report cards. Often, when abnormal results occur, the clinical patient will also have conscious symptoms, such as increased leucorrhea, discharge that may have an odor, and itching of the vulva, which will be relieved by appropriate medication based on the results of the laboratory tests.
