What does progressive lung enhancement mean

Progressive enhancement of the lungs is usually a finding described by enhanced CT and may be a benign or malignant tumor. The finding of progressive enhancement in the lungs by enhanced CT is mostly suggestive of a tumor in the lungs, which can be benign. This kind of disease has little effect on human body, relatively small benign tumors, generally do not need special treatment, larger benign tumors compressing the surrounding lung tissues leading to respiratory function impairment may require surgical resection treatment. In addition to benign tumors, progressive lung strengthening may also be related to malignant tumors, such as lung cancer and metastatic cancer in other parts of the body, which are more threatening to the human body and may be life-threatening. The progressive intensification alone cannot accurately determine the type of disease, and needs to be combined with the next step of diagnostic analysis, including pathological biopsy, tumor marker screening and so on. It is recommended that the patient go to a regular hospital in time, analyze the cause under the guidance of the physician and then targeted treatment.
