What is the normal range of ovarian size?

  The normal female ovaries are a pair of partial ovals that produce eggs, expel them, and secrete hormones, and their size varies with age. The surface of the ovaries is smooth before puberty; after puberty, the surface becomes uneven as ovulation begins. After menopause, the ovaries gradually shrink and become smaller and harder, and are not easily palpable during gynecological examinations.
