Mild cerebral white matter demyelination is usually not serious.
Cerebral white matter demyelination is associated with a variety of causes, including atherosclerosis, poisoning, infection, inflammation, and heredity. In case of mild demyelination, patients can have no clinical manifestations and do not need special treatment.
