What are the proper steps for cardiac compressions

Cardiac compression is chest compression, and the correct steps are described by resuscitation position, i.e., lying on a solid plane, compression site, i.e., the middle and lower 1/3 of the sternal midline, compression technique, i.e., the elbow of the compression hand is perpendicular to the patient’s body, the resuscitation sequence, i.e., conforming to the order of C-A-B, the ratio of compression/ventilation, i.e., 30:2, and compression rotation, i.e., more than two people and rotation every 2 min.
1. Resuscitation position: the patient is lying down in a flat position on a firm plane.
2. Pressure site: the intersection of the middle and lower 1/3 of the sternal midline, i.e. the intersection of the two nipple lines and the sternal midline.
3. Pressing technique: the first-aider kneels on one side of the patient, one palm heel is placed on the pressing site, the other palm heel is stacked and the hands are clasped for pressing, and the body is leaning forward, so that the shoulder, elbow and wrist are in the same axis and perpendicular to the patient’s body. Pressure and relaxation time is equal, and the palm does not leave the chest wall when relaxing.
4. Sequence of resuscitation: follow the sequence of C, i.e. chest compressions, A, i.e. opening the airway, and B, i.e. artificial respiration.
5. Compression/ventilation ratio: 30:2, every 5 groups of 30:2 as a cycle, time month 2min.
6. Compression rotation: more than 2 people are required to rotate every 2min, and minimize the interruption of compression when rotating.
If there is a need for cardiac compression, it is recommended to implement the operation at the same time immediately call 120 emergency to avoid delaying the condition.
