Liver diseases can be seen in general surgery or gastroenterology, as it is common to see chronic viral hepatitis, or liver cysts and tumors that occur in the liver. For tumors of the liver, if they are malignant tumors diagnosed at an early stage, surgery should be an active option, which falls under the scope of general surgical treatment. In addition, like benign diseases, liver cysts and hepatic hemangiomas can be followed up and observed regularly if there are no clinical symptoms, including color ultrasound or CT examination of the liver. Huge liver cysts can compress adjacent organs and patients may also present with abdominal pain and distension, especially after eating which can lead to aggravation of symptoms. If the bile ducts are compressed, secondary obstructive jaundice can occur and prompt surgical treatment is needed to remove the lesion.
