How long to recover from laser posterior capsulotomy of the eye

Laser posterior capsulotomy is usually used for posterior cataracts, and the patient usually recovers in about 2 weeks to 1 month after surgery. Normally, patients will regain their vision by the second week after laser surgery, and their condition will stabilize and they will be able to live a normal life. Most patients do not experience any significant discomfort, but a small percentage of patients do not regain their vision within the first 2 weeks after surgery, but their vision will gradually return within 2 weeks to 1 month or so. Laser posterior capsulotomy is an outpatient procedure, and it takes about 2 weeks to 1 month for the eye to return to a stable condition. Because of individual differences, some patients may take longer to adjust and adapt to the procedure before recovering gradually. It is recommended that patients undergoing laser posterior capsulotomy follow the doctor’s instructions for care, have regular checkups, and seek medical attention when discomfort occurs.
