How many years you can live with pleurisy

Pleurisy caused by tuberculous pleurisy and common infection does not affect normal life expectancy after regular treatment and can survive for many years. Pleurisy caused by metastatic malignant tumors and chest wall tumors, such as pleural mesothelioma, are malignant tumors and have a relatively short survival time, with death occurring in about six months due to systemic failure and cachexia. Therefore, after having pleurisy, first diagnose clearly whether it is benign or malignant pleurisy, and malignant pleurisy needs to be treated with chemotherapy and other methods for the primary tumor in order to prolong the patient’s life.
