Is the male sperm duct the same as the urethra?

In males, the spermatic duct and the ureter are not one. The vas deferens is an organ belonging to the male reproductive system and the ureter is an organ belonging to the male urinary system. The vas deferens is about 40cm long and is a direct continuation of the epididymal ducts, with a thicker wall, well-developed muscular layer, small lumen, rounded cords, and is divided into four parts: testicular, spermatic cord, inguinal ducts, and pelvic part. The ureters are located in the posterior part of the peritoneum, and are a pair of elongated tubular organs, starting from the renal pelvis and ending at the bladder, and are about 25-30 cm long in adults. The ureters descend along the anterior part of the psoas major muscle, and run obliquely inward and downward, and at the inlet of the lesser pelvis, the right ureter crosses the anterior part of the beginning of the right external iliac artery, and the left ureter crosses the anterior part of the end of the left common iliac artery. The ureter is divided into three segments: abdominal, pelvic, and intramural. Therefore, the male spermatic duct and ureter are not one. If patients have any discomfort, they need to consult the doctor for examination and early treatment.
