A small amount of ground-glass density refers to a small amount of cloudy dense images on chest CT, which may be considered as pneumonia, pulmonary edema, and lung tumors.
1. Pneumonia: It is a common clinical lung disease, usually caused by bacterial infection, which may lead to inflammatory lesions in the lung parenchyma, resulting in the appearance of a small amount of glassy density shadows on chest CT.
2. Pulmonary edema: patients with pulmonary edema may have congestion and swelling of lung tissues and cells in the lungs, which may result in a small amount of ground-glass densities on chest CT.
3. Lung tumor: it is one of the main diseases that cause ground-glass density shadows in chest CT, and if the tumor and lesion are small, it may show a small amount of ground-glass density shadows in CT.
Therefore, the CT image of a small amount of ground glass density shadow can not accurately determine the type of disease, and further examination is needed to clarify the pathology and target treatment.
