Intraductal papilloma is a common benign clinical tumor with a certain risk of malignant transformation due to abnormal epithelial proliferation. Therefore, surgery is mostly used in China to treat this disease. There are three types of surgery commonly used for intraductal papilloma: 1) longitudinal papillary splitting method. This method is centered on the diseased milk duct, and a wedge-shaped nipple excision is performed to remove part of the nipple skin along with the diseased milk duct. 2.Radial incision at the breast. A radial incision is made in the breast to find the diseased duct and then excise it. 3.A curved incision in the areola. A curved incision is made in the areola according to the location of the diseased duct and the breast hole, and the areola is turned up and the diseased duct is found and removed. The three different types of incisions achieve the same goal in terms of treatment, all of them can remove the diseased milk ducts well, but they differ greatly in terms of cosmetic results. For example, the first method involves splitting the nipple, which causes artificial damage to the nipple; the second method makes a radial incision in the breast, which leaves a scar on the breast and leaves a poor appearance; the third method makes a hidden incision, which is sometimes difficult for non-scarred people to see that surgery has been done. The cosmetic effect is much better than the first two types of surgery. Unlike abdominal and other surgeries, breast surgery is not only about removing lesions, but also about ensuring local aesthetics. For a breast specialist, simply removing the lesion in a major way is a level that is twenty years old. Aesthetic and subtle removal of the mass is the goal of breast surgery today.
