What are the consequences of an arterial infusion

Arterial infusion is not used in clinical work because the arteries have a very high pressure that can counteract the pressure of the infusion. The blood can only flow from the blood vessel to the infuser and cannot make the medicine in the infuser flow into the arterial blood vessels, so the effect of the infusion is not achieved and it can cause the patient to bleed more. If these conditions are not taken care of, it may lead to hemorrhagic shock in the patient. Intravenous infusion is more widely used in the clinic, which uses the gravity of the liquid and the air pressure difference inside the body to achieve the infusion of medicine from the infusion set into the venous vessels.
