Indications for orbital fracture surgery and duration of surgery

1. Indications for surgery for orbital fractures: (1) inversion of the eye; (2) ocular motility disorders or diplopia. If there are no clinical manifestations of these two conditions, surgery for orbital fracture is not necessary. The earliest time to operate for orbital fracture is 2 weeks after the trauma. 2 weeks of surgery is very damaging, the surgical result is not good, and the patient is deprived of the chance of natural recovery. However, there is a special case in time, that is, green branch fractures in children should be operated within days after trauma if surgery is indicated.
