What’s wrong with getting up in the morning with a bitter mouth?

Bitterness in the morning is related to various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and gallbladder. If you often get up in the morning and feel bitter in your mouth, it is recommended that you first go to the hospital for gastrointestinal tract gastroscopy and ultrasound examination of the gallbladder. Bitterness in the mouth is most closely related to these two organs, especially gallbladder disease. When suffering from chronic cholecystitis, abnormal bile duct function or gallstones, abnormal bile excretion will occur. If too much food is consumed before going to bed at night, it is likely to promote abnormal secretion of bile from the gallbladder. Therefore, eating as little food as possible before going to bed at night can reduce the secretion of bile and relieve the symptoms of bitterness in the mouth. If chronic inflammation of the gallbladder and bile reflux caused by weakened gastrointestinal function are identified, anti-inflammatory drugs and gastrointestinal motility drugs can be used first to relieve the symptoms of bitter mouth, such as domperidone and other motility drugs and quinolone anti-inflammatory drugs. Usually try not to eat particularly spicy and stimulating food, otherwise it is also likely to lead to abnormal secretion of bile from the gallbladder. Therefore, patients with bitter mouth in the morning should have timely examination of gallbladder and gastrointestinal tract diseases, and should be treated promptly after clear diagnosis.
