Hyperacidity is not necessarily a precursor to stomach cancer. Hyperacidity is a common disease of the digestive tract caused by excessive secretion of stomach acid. It can be caused by bad living habits, emotional stimulation, bad dietary stimulation, Helicobacter pylori infection, insufficient gastric motility, gastrinoma and so on. The main cause of stomach cancer in China is H. pylori infection. Therefore, hyperacidity is not necessarily a precursor of stomach cancer. Excessive stomach acid mainly manifests as acid reflux, burning sensation in the stomach or behind the sternum, belching and other digestive symptoms. Long-term excessive gastric acid secretion may lead to gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer and other organic lesions. Most of the precursors of stomach cancer are asymptomatic or only have mild symptoms such as epigastric distension, nausea, loss of appetite, belching, acid reflux, black stools and so on. If you have excessive stomach acid, you need to go to the hospital for reasonable examination and treatment under the guidance of physician.
