How to use ear drops

The main way to apply the drops is as follows: if necessary, the patient should preferably lie flat, expose the affected ear upwards, pull the auricle upwards with one hand (or downwards in the case of children) to straighten the ear canal, and then take 5-6 drops of ear drops in one hand (2-3 drops in the case of children) to keep the affected ear upwards for about 10-15 minutes. During this process, you can press the ear screen repeatedly with your hand, which will allow the solution to enter the deeper part of the ear canal. If the patient has a tympanic membrane perforation, when the clinical drops are applied, the medicine tends to form a medicine film in the perforated area, blocking the outer ear canal medicine from entering the middle ear. If a pressure is given, the medicine can enter the tympanic chamber very smoothly, thus achieving the therapeutic effect.
