Significance of t-cell test for tuberculosis infection

The T-cell test for tuberculosis infection, also known as the T-SPOT test, is the basis for reflecting the presence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. The T-SPOT test is only a test to determine tuberculosis, not a basis for diagnosis, but the diagnosis of tuberculosis still requires the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis or histopathology suggestive of tuberculosis, both of which can be confirmed. The diagnosis of tuberculosis infection can be made definitively if one of them is positive. Of course, because of the specificity of tuberculosis, diagnostic anti-tuberculosis treatment can be given if tuberculosis infection is highly suspected.
