Correct interpretation of semen test indicators

There are often patients who take semen test sheets and look at them carefully, and if the numbers improve, they are overjoyed, but if there is no change or it gets worse, they are full of sadness or a long sigh. There is too much uncertainty in semen examination. A male with normal reproductive function may not have normal semen examination results every time, even if the same day in the morning and afternoon may not be the same, and different seasons may not be the same, and different laboratories and different examiners may give different data. Nowadays, most laboratories use computerized tests, but computerized tests are often inaccurate, especially for sperm and non-sperm components of semen, and it is difficult to make a completely correct judgment. Therefore, the results of a single semen test do not tell us anything, and multiple tests are needed to make a comprehensive judgment. Of course, it is important not to have sexual intercourse 3-5 days before the test, not to be overly tired or stay up late 1 day before the test, to be in a calm mood and to avoid catching a cold.
