Correctly interpreting semen test results

I often have patients with laboratory test sheets happily find me and say thank you so much, worthy of being a famous doctor in Jianghuai, take 10 pairs of drugs semen quality rose a lot, also often encounter some patients said I took 3-4 months of drugs semen did not change at all, very frustrated. In fact, I would say that these are misinterpretations of the significance of semen examination. I have been in the field of male medicine for 25 years and have personally performed semen examinations on 100,000 patients, so I know very well the role and significance of routine semen examination. Therefore, for all the patients who come to my clinic, I have to see the semen situation in person first, then go to our laboratory and ask the patient about the specific situation before making a diagnosis. Because I know that semen status is dynamic, different in the morning, afternoon and evening, different in spring, summer, autumn and winter. I explain the test results in this way, we must not be misled by the test results, which are only for the doctor’s reference. The doctor should make a comprehensive judgment and analysis based on the test results, the patient’s observation and examination results, and prescribe the right prescription for each specific patient, in addition to judging the changes after taking the medicine, so that the medicine can be used to cure the disease. I am often asked whether my condition is mild or severe, and I say that it is not appropriate to ask this because sometimes I tell the patient that the condition is not severe and the patient thinks there is no problem, resulting in delayed treatment, or I say that there is a problem and the patient’s psychological burden increases, making treatment more difficult. I now often tell patients whether there is a problem, as long as there is a problem should be actively treated, if there is no problem, relax, if both husband and wife are not found to be a problem, both should be conditioned at the same time. I hope we can all understand, long live understanding!
