As we age and our immune system strengthens, the allergy may gradually resolve itself as we grow up. However, if the patient is allergic or has always had a poor immune system, the dust mite allergy usually cannot be cured when he grows up. Dust mite allergy is a kind of allergic disease, long-term exposure to dust mites can cause asthma, eczema and other chronic diseases. Dust mite allergy can be prevented and treated by environmental control, avoiding exposure to allergens; symptomatic treatment with anti-allergy medications; and small amount of multiple desensitization therapy for comprehensive treatment. Dust mites mainly breed in bedrooms, including bedding, sofas, carpets and curtains, etc. Therefore, all bedding, including mattresses, should be cleaned regularly to remove dust mites; bedspreads, quilt covers, blankets, and pillowcases should be washed frequently, preferably with higher temperature water for a period of time; difficult to wash bedding such as cotton should be exposed to the sun frequently and patted to beat the dust mites out of them. With age and improved immunity, dust mite allergy can be self-cured in most patients, but allergies and people with poor immunity generally cannot be self-cured.
