Cervical spinal canal tumor, spinal cord tumor, cervical medullary tumor

An elderly patient was admitted to the hospital with severe pain in both upper limbs and weakness in all limbs. At the time of admission, the patient had severe pain in the upper limbs, could not sleep, had grade 3 muscle strength in both lower limbs, increased muscle tone, pathological signs (+), and had difficulty walking. MRI of the cervical spine showed a tumor in the cervical spinal canal, and laminectomy, spinal canal exploration, and tumor removal were performed. The pain was basically relieved after the operation, and the muscle strength of the lower limbs recovered day by day. One month after discharge, he came to the hospital for follow-up, and the sensation and movement of the extremities basically returned to normal.
