Etiology and insect bites, gastrointestinal dysfunction, endocrine metabolic disorders and neurological and psychiatric factors. Treatment is based on improving hygiene, preventing insect bites, avoiding local irritation, and in severe cases, oral antihistamines (such as loratadine) can be used to relieve symptoms.
