What should I do if I get rice particles in my nose?

If you get a grain of rice in your nose, you can choose to blow your nose and sniff it back to get it out of your body. If it is difficult to remove it by yourself, you need to go to the hospital and seek the help of a doctor to remove it through examinations such as nasal endoscopy.
If the patient inadvertently inhales a grain of rice into the nasal cavity while eating, the grain can usually be expelled by holding down the nostril on the side that did not enter the grain and blowing the nose on the side that did enter the grain. Alternatively, it can be expelled by snorting backwards. In this process, you should avoid aspirating the rice particles into the airways by mistake, as this may damage your health.
If you are unable to remove the particles on your own, you should go to an otolaryngologist and seek medical help. The doctor will use a nasal endoscope to remove the foreign body from the nasal cavity.
In daily life, patients should chew and swallow their food slowly to avoid aspiration of rice particles again.
