Do you have to take perindopril amlodipine tablets all the time?

Perindopril amlodipine tablets are not recommended to be taken all the time. The drug may produce drug resistance if taken for a long time, if you need to take the drug, it is recommended that patients go to a regular hospital for examination and use it under the guidance of a physician. The drug is a compound preparation, in which perindopril is a potent and long-acting angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, which reduces peripheral vascular resistance, while cardiac output and heart rate remain unchanged; amlodipine tablets can inhibit the transmembrane inward flow of calcium ions to the cardiac muscle and vascular smooth muscle cells, and its antihypertensive effect is the mechanism of direct relaxation of vascular smooth muscle. The drug is used clinically in adult patients whose hypertension is not adequately controlled by monotherapy; or as an alternative therapy for primary hypertension that is controlled by the combination of perindopril and amlodipine at the same dose level. Adverse reactions such as dizziness, headache, vertigo, hypotension, abdominal pain, and nausea have been reported during administration. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to perindopril or any other angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, in patients with a past history of angioedema caused by angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, in patients with hereditary or idiopathic angioedema, and in pregnant and lactating women. Blood pressure, renal function and blood potassium should be closely monitored during administration; patients with diabetes mellitus treated with oral hypoglycemic agents or insulin should be closely monitored for blood glucose control during the first month of treatment with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors.
