Pregnancy can lead to increased leucorrhea, especially in early pregnancy. After a woman is pregnant, due to the increase of progesterone content in her body, progesterone stimulates the cervical glands and cervical mucus cells prompting an increase in secretions from the cervical area, also known as leucorrhea, which is mostly white or yellowish due to the influence of hormones in the body, the amount of leucorrhea increases, and the leucorrhea is colorless, odorless and without vulvar itching. When leucorrhea increases during pregnancy it is recommended to wash the vulva every night to keep it clean and dry and reduce the stimulation of the leucorrhea on the vulva. The increased leucorrhea will ease on its own after entering the middle and late stages of pregnancy. The body’s resistance is relatively low during pregnancy, so if there is increased leucorrhea with obvious vulvar itching, consider that it may be caused by vaginitis, and you need to go to the hospital in time.
