Heartburn and a pulse rate of 102 beats/min are clinically known as sinus tachycardia, which is often caused by abnormal sympathetic excitation due to external fever, strenuous activity, anemia, electrolyte disorders, and hyperthyroidism. Clinical treatment is mainly beta-blockers, such as metoprolol tartrate tablets and bisoprolol tablets, and digitalis drugs, such as digoxin. The usual clinical beta-blockers, namely bisoprolol and metoprolol, are more commonly used. The digitalis class of drugs is mostly used in cases where the pulse is fast and there is also heart failure.
