Is 37.4 normal?

A temperature of 37.4°C is not normal. Temperature measurement is usually taken in the armpits and should be done early in the morning, on an empty stomach, awake, and at rest. Before taking the temperature, you should use a towel or cotton cloth to wipe off the sweat under the armpits, and then keep the thermometer in contact with the armpits for at least 10 minutes to be accurate. The normal temperature of the armpit should be 36-37 ℃, more than 37 ℃ temperature is problematic, so it is recommended to observe for a period of time now at home. If the temperature is still elevated, you should go to the hospital to clarify the cause of the fever without delay.
