Is the New Crown Vaccine Harmful in Pregnancy

At present, we do not recommend vaccination of pregnant women against the new coronavirus, and there are no conclusive data on whether the vaccine will have adverse effects on pregnant women and the fetus. Although our new coronavirus vaccine does not cause excessive side effects in the body after injection, because pregnancy is a special period, there is limited research data on vaccination of pregnant women, and it is not possible to determine whether the vaccine will have adverse effects on pregnant women and the fetus. Therefore, for safety reasons, the State has temporarily stipulated that the new coronavirus vaccine cannot be administered during pregnancy. However, if pregnancy occurs after vaccination or if the vaccine is administered in the absence of a known pregnancy, based on the understanding of the safety of the vaccine, it is not recommended to take special medical measures (such as termination of pregnancy) solely because of neo-coronavirus vaccination, and it is recommended to do proper pregnancy checkups and follow-up visits. For women who are planning to conceive, there is no need to delay pregnancy planning solely because of the new coronavirus vaccination. If pregnancy is detected after vaccination, it is recommended to stop the second dose of the vaccine and to have regular check-ups under the supervision of a doctor to clarify the condition of the fetus.
