What’s wrong with the kid’s leg? He’s afraid to straighten it.

A child’s leg pain that prevents him or her from straightening may be caused by physiologic factors such as growing pains and overactivity. It may also be caused by trauma, osteosarcoma and other pathologic factors.
1. Growing pains: If the child has no trauma, and the sudden leg pain is not daring to straighten, it is considered to be the cause of growing pains. Generally, it is caused by the rapid growth of the child’s long bones, pulling the nerves, tendons and muscles around the bones. Generally, it can be relieved after tens of minutes.
2. Excessive activity: If the child’s activity is relatively large, it will cause the accumulation of acidic metabolites during the development process, thus causing muscle pain.
3. Trauma: If a child suddenly has a leg pain and is afraid to straighten it, it is usually caused by muscle strain in the process of running and jumping activities, or soft tissue injury caused by trauma.
4. Bone tumors: such as osteosarcoma, giant cell tumor of bone, Ewing’s sarcoma and other bone tumors, can lead to the destruction of the baby’s bone, the occurrence of pain in the leg not dare to straighten, or even pathological fracture performance.
Clinically, there are many reasons that lead to the baby’s leg pain, when the child’s leg pain does not dare to straighten the persistence of non-relief, should consult a doctor in a timely manner, after a clear diagnosis and active treatment.
